Customizing receipts & printing
Control your paper sizes and brand your receipts, prescriptions and medical forms from Settings → Print & Receipts, with a live preview.
Everything about how your documents print lives in one place: Settings → Print & Receipts. From here you choose paper sizes and control exactly what appears on your receipts, with a live preview that updates as you edit.
Paper formats
Each document type has its own paper size, because a receipt printer, a certificate and a paystub don't always share the same tray:
- Receipts — A4, half-page A5, or narrow thermal till-roll.
- Medical Forms, Prescriptions, Payroll Paystubs — A4 or A5 each.
All default to A4. Change any of them independently if that document prints on a different size at your clinic.
The same page also holds the Offline Record Printing toggle, which adds a "Print Full Record" button to each patient profile (always A4).
Branding your receipt
Below the paper formats you build the receipt's header and footer. A preview on the right shows the result at A4, A5 and thermal as you type, so you can see exactly what will print before you save.
Header
Kept deliberately compact so the layout stays clean:
- Logo, branch name and branch address — toggle each on or off. The branch name and address come from the branch where the payment was taken.
- Extra address line — one short line under the address, for example "Opposite City Building".
- Phone numbers — up to four. If you leave these empty, the receipt falls back to the branch's own phone number.
- Emails — up to two.
Footer
The footer has more room:
- Thank-you note — a short message to the patient.
- Other branches — contact details for your clinic's other locations.
- Opening hours.
- Promotional / info note — anything you want patients to see, for example a seasonal offer.
- Legal disclaimer — printed in its own bordered box at the bottom, for example a returns or tax note.
- "Printed by" line — show or hide the staff member who printed the receipt.
Only the fields you fill in appear on the receipt, so an empty footer stays clean.
Where else this appears
Your header and footer settings are used everywhere a document is produced, so your branding is consistent:
- The printed receipt (and the receipt's live preview).
- The emailed receipt PDF — a patient can be sent their receipt by email, and it uses the same header and footer.
- Prescriptions and medical forms show the same clinic header and a contact/opening-hours/disclaimer footer (they don't show the thank-you or promotional note, since those are for receipts).
Receipt numbering
Receipt numbers are assigned automatically in a gap-free sequence per clinic, using the prefix you set under Settings → General (for example RCP-, producing RCP-00001). See Installments & receipts for how receipts and partial payments work.
