Reports & analytics

Understand the Financials dashboard and Reports, revenue, collections, outstanding balances, doctor workload, clinic flow, and export to CSV.

CuspFlow turns your day-to-day activity into numbers you can act on, across two areas: Financials and Reports.

The Financials dashboard

Financials gives owners and finance staff a live picture: revenue for the period, amount collected, outstanding balances and patient counts, plus recent transactions and a list of patients who still owe money. Beyond the dashboard it also includes:

  • Overdue Payments, patients with an outstanding balance.
  • Financial Reports, deeper analytics over a chosen date range.
  • Insurance Claims, claims through their lifecycle.
  • Cash Reconciliation, reconciling cash takings at the end of a shift or day.
  • Staff Commissions, commission earned per staff member (see Payroll).
  • Clinic Expenses, recording your operating costs.

The Reports dashboard

Reports brings together operational and financial analytics across several tabs, patients seen, doctor workload and utilisation, revenue trends and clinic flow. Managers use these to understand how the clinic is running.

How reports load

To stay fast, report and analytics pages load once and hold their data rather than constantly re-fetching. Use the Refresh button to pull fresh numbers when you want them. Each Reports tab loads only when you open it.

Excluding imported data

If you brought historical records in through the Data Migration wizard, the reports that show trends over time, Financial Reports, the Financials and Reports dashboards, Staff Commissions, Overdue Payments, have an "exclude migrated data" checkbox. Tick it and a large one-off import stops distorting your month-on-month figures. The choice is remembered across pages and reloads.

Who can see the financials

Financials access is per-page. Owner, Administrator and Finance see everything. Front-desk roles see only Overdue Payments and Cash Reconciliation, and on those the clinic-wide summary totals are hidden unless specifically granted. Doctors and nurses have no Financials access.

Exporting

Most list and report pages have an Export CSV button for staff with the right permission, so you can take data into a spreadsheet for your own analysis or records.
