Branches & dental chairs

CuspFlow supports clinics of any size, from a single room to a network of locations. Branches and chairs are configured under Settings → Branches & Chairs.

Branches

Each branch is a physical location. A branch keeps its own:

• Dental chairs
• Staff schedules and availability
• Inventory levels

Single-location clinics simply use the one main branch created at signup.

Dental chairs

CuspFlow tracks chairs rather than rooms, so staff always know which seats are free. Set up chairs per branch, each with a name and optional room.

• In an appointment or treatment plan, staff assign a chair to the patient.
• A chair shows live occupancy — 🟢 Free or 🔴 Occupied. Clinical staff toggle it occupied when the patient is seated and free when they leave.
• Chairs can be active or inactive. Inactive chairs are hidden from all selectors, but chairs are never hard-deleted, so historical assignments stay intact.

Availability drives booking

Each branch's weekly availability, together with each doctor's schedule, controls which time slots the booking form offers — so patients can't be booked into a chair or a doctor that isn't available.
